The Medical University of Gdańsk has been invited to participate in a new nationwide initiative supporting collaboration between the scientific community and European corporations. The #EUInnovateTogether program, created by the Agreement of Academic Technology Transfer Centers (PACTT) and the Agreement of Special Purpose Entities (PSC), is the result of over a year of discussions with representatives from 34 companies across Europe. These efforts have led to the acquisition of 8 business partners and the identification of 40 interdisciplinary research challenges that science can address with innovative solutions. In the field of healthcare, partnerships have been established with GSK, Roche Polska, and Medicover.

#EUInnovateTogether serves as a single point of contact for companies interested in collaborating with Polish universities and spin-off companies. Unlike traditional grant programs, business partners are not looking for ready-made solutions but are open to co-developing innovative concepts from the earliest stages of technology development.
Collaboration within the program is structured into four main stages:
- Familiarizing with the challenges – the full list of research challenges is provided below. If any of the topics align with your current research or team’s expertise, please get in touch.
- Workshop sessions – additional materials have been prepared for each topic to support further exploration.
- Submitting an expression of interest for discussion with the business partner – after agreeing on the scope of work and team composition, the proposal is submitted to the #EUInnovateTogether repository. This document forms the basis for coordinating efforts, assembling interdisciplinary teams, and planning the next steps of the collaboration.
- Meetings with the company – based on the submitted proposals, meetings between researchers and business representatives are arranged. These meetings follow a clear agenda, focus on specific challenges, and aim to initiate joint work on potential solutions.

We encourage research teams from the Medical University of Gdańsk (GUMed) to take part in the #EUInnovateTogether program. This is a unique opportunity to develop innovative projects through direct dialogue with international companies, build lasting relationships with industry, and achieve real commercialization of research results.
Details regarding the procedure and application process are available at the GUMed Technology Transfer Office.
