Individual consultations with experts of the Technology Transfer Office

The Technology Transfer Centres, which operate at the interface between science and business, provide support for technology transfer and the commercialisation of research results. It should not be forgotten, however, that one of the important tasks of our unit is also to build entrepreneurial and innovation skills within the academic community. This is particularly important when a researcher decides to start a business through indirect commercialisation. In the case of setting up a spin-off company, it is important to have the necessary theoretical and practical knowledge of how to run a business. This knowledge is also important for establishing effective communication and mutual understanding with industry representatives such as pharmaceutical companies, medical device manufacturers, investment funds and others. Such meetings usually take place in the context of discussions on the licensing or sale of intellectual property rights (direct commercialisation), in which scientists may participate together with CTT representatives.

Therefore, in order to meet the needs, we would like to remind you that within our unit we offer personalised mentoring for scientists – individual consultations with experts from the Technology Transfer Office covering such areas as

  • Identifying the commercial potential of the invention and the area of commercialisation.
  • Use of tools for the correct identification of recipients in projects and medical solutions adapted to the needs of the economy.
  • Developing commercialisation strategies for MUG’s inventions.
  • Supporting the Centre for Medical Innovation Ltd. in the creation of spin-off companies.

We also support the academic community by organising seminars and workshops on entrepreneurship, design thinking, business model creation – iDays, EIT SCI-FI.

We invite interested parties to contact our office to make an appointment – tel. 58 349 10 09 or e-mail: ctt@gumed.edu.pl
