Individual Consultations with Experts from the Technology Transfer Office

Technology Transfer Offices, operating at the interface of science and business, provide support in the transfer of technology and commercialization of scientific research results. However, it is important to remember that one of our unit’s key tasks is also to build competencies in entrepreneurship and innovation within the academic community. This is particularly relevant when a researcher decides to engage in business activity through indirect commercialization.

When establishing a spin-off company, it is crucial to possess the necessary theoretical and practical knowledge related to running a business. This knowledge is also essential for establishing effective communication and mutual understanding with representatives from industry — such as pharmaceutical companies, medical device manufacturers, investment funds, and other stakeholders. Such meetings typically take place in the context of licensing negotiations or intellectual property rights sales (direct commercialization), in which researchers may participate alongside representatives of the Technology Transfer Center (TTC).

In response to these needs, we would like to remind you that our unit offers personalized mentoring for researchersIndividual consultations with experts from the Technology Transfer Office, which include support in areas such as:

– Identifying the commercial potential of an invention and its relevant commercialization domain.
– Using tools to properly identify end users in projects and medical solutions tailored to market needs.
– Building commercialization strategies for GUMed inventions.
– Support from the Medical Innovation Center Ltd. in establishing spin-off companies.

Additionally, we support the academic community by organizing seminars and workshops on entrepreneurship, design thinking, and business model creation – including iDays and EIT SCI-FI.
