The „HORUS!” app.

Web and mobile application 'HORUS!’ supports the treatment of lung cancer patients.
Lung cancer is one of the most common malignancies in Poland and in the world, is the leading cause of death due to oncological diseases. Every year it is diagnosed in more than 20,000 Poles, of whom only 13 percent survive another five years. Follow-up clinic visits are aimed at early detection of cancer recurrence, which occurs in more than 65 percent of patients with advanced lung cancer. They involve repeated imaging tests at intervals of several months. This procedure is associated with high costs and frequent exposure of patients to ionizing radiation.
The „HORUS” application, allows continuous real-time monitoring of complaints reported by patients. The use of the technology under development makes it possible to implement effective oncological treatment several weeks earlier, and thus, according to literature data, can extend overall survival time from 12-16 months to 19-22 months.
